Don is an Audit Partner of the firm. He has 39 years of audit, accounting and controller experience including extractive industry, standard and process cost accounting systems and budgeting, governmental auditing, federal awards and internal controls and peer reviews. Don's current emphasis is on audits of units of local government and not-for-profit organizations with an increasing focus on GASB 34.

Don has taught budgeting and accounting software applications to financial officers of Colorado school districts and has assisted over 200 units of local government and not-for-profit organizations in preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures. Don is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of, and has chaired various committees and organizations for, the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. 

Don has been a Government Finance Officers Association reviewer for 12 years. Don's charitable service includes serving as president of Pride Programs, a workshop for developmentally challenged adults, and the Auraria Community Center as well as serving as a leader for an inner city Boy Scout troop. Don is a Colorado native with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master’s Degree from Denver University.
